Twiggs County Under Heat Advisory Wednesday

Twiggs County Under Heat Advisory Wednesday

A heat advisory is in effect for much of Middle Georgia this afternoon. Highs will be around 100, and the heat index (how hot it feels) should range from 105-110. Make sure you stay hydrated if you must be outdoors today. Isolated afternoon storms should develop later, bringing some of us a little relief. --David Ernst, WMAZ Meteorologist

Weather Radar Show Heavy Rain, Thunder and Lightning

Weather Radar Show Heavy Rain, Thunder and Lightning

Heavy rain and lots of thunder and lightning moving through Macon/Bibb County as well as western Laurens County. So far, there's nothing severe...just heavy rain, gusty winds, and the lightning. Wouldn't be surprised if there's a little small hail (dime or pea size) in some places, though. -WMAZ Meteorologist David Ernst
