The Redneck Circus drives into town this weekend at Soggy Bottom ATV Park in Abbeville.

The circus takes place Friday-Monday.

Christian Book Club Starts in Various Counties

For anyone interested, and you live in Bleckley County, Dodge County, Pulaski County, Twiggs - the book club meets Saturday, September 10 from 10:30 until noon.

Books to be discussed will be fiction and the club is being sponsored by the Internet Cafe. We will be meeting the second Saturday of every month at different locations

This is for men and women.

The first book will be chosen at the first meeting.

License Plate Revote Opens Monday

 

ATLANTA (AP) -- The public is again invited to weigh in on Georgia's new license plate design. 

Online voting will reopen at 3 p.m. Monday.

Gov. Nathan Deal had planned to announce the winner of an earlier design contest last Friday, but the state scrapped its plans over public confusion on whether the motto "In God We Trust" would be on the plate.

Mulberry St. Market Today!

Today the Mulberry Market in Downtown Macon features Deer Creek Farms in Forsyth, Dickey Farms in Musella, Davis Farms in Roberta, The Little Farm in Gray and the Evergreen East Farm in Jeffersonville.

The Mulberry St. Market is happening from 4-7 p.m. today, Wednesday.

Not only will you find produce, you can find beef, baked goods and jellies.

Gov. Launches Design Contest for New Car Tags

 

Gov. Nathan Deal announced today that the Department of Revenue will host a contest to design for a new Georgia license plate.

The design contest will begin on Monday, May 23. The deadline is Friday, June 17. 

Individuals are asked to submit original artwork. Any Georgian citizen or business authorized to do business in the state of Georgia is welcome to enter the contest.

The public will be given a chance to choose three semi-finalists through an online vote from June 24-July 8. After the online voting, the three semi-finalists will be presented to Gov. Deal.

He will then announce the winning design on July 15.
