9/11 Artifact Transported to Museum of Aviation

9/11 Artifact Transported to Museum of Aviation

A base fire truck transported an artifact stone from the 9/11 Pentagon attack from Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command to the Museum of Aviation Friday.

That's according to a Robins Air Force Base news release. 13WMAZ's Lorra Lynch Jones will have more tonight on Eyewitness News.

Base employees and Airmen were encouraged to line the route as a show of respect to everyone affected by the attacks -the victims, their families, first responders and U.S. military personnel.

The procession began at Bldg. 210, (HQ AFRC) then proceed east on Richard Ray Boulevard and turn right onto Robins Parkway.

The stone will be displayed at Friday's 9/11 commemoration ceremony hosted by the Air Force Reserve Command at the Museum of Aviation's Century of Flight Hangar at 1 p.m.
