The Georgia National Fair announces the band lineup for the free outdoor concert via Facebook Friday morning:

Good morning Fair Fans! We are excited to announce the bands for the free outdoor concert during Sneak-a-Peek, October 4. Do you like funk? Remember "Pick Up The Pieces" and "Cut The Cake?" The Average White Band will rock us out! And the ever popular band, The Grapevine, will start the concert at 7:00 p.m. To start the toe tapping

Middle Georgia Singer Values Music as His 'Best Friend'

Jason Hobbs, 44, knew he wanted to be a musician ever since he was a little boy.

And it was only natural. The Twiggs County resident with Bleckley County ties said that music has been a part of every event, everything at his house, for a long time.

“I grew up with music all around me. My dad was in a band in the 50s, and we always had music at our house,” Hobbs said.
