Funeral services for Thomas W. “Billy” Stephens, 54, of Statesboro who died Saturday, November 10, 2012 will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday in the Chapel of Fisher Funeral Home in Cochran.
Billy was born in Pulaski County, the son of the late Louis W. (Bunky) and Clarice Harbin Stephens. He was a graduate of Cochran High School Class of 1976 and a graduate of Middle Georgia College Class of 1978. He received his nursing degree from Coastal Community College in Brunswick. He was a paramedic with many ambulance services throughout Georgia and was presently a nurse with critical care and emergency room at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah.
Survivors include his wife, Michele B. Stephens of Statesboro; daughter, Kara Rena Stephens of Statesboro; two sisters, Lynn (Scott) Keller of Rochester, MN and Gayle (Raymond) Sapp of Danville; brother, Chris Stephens of Cochran.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Gayle and Raymond Sapp, 160 Little Rocky Creek Road, Danville, GA. and will meet friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of his mother to Ovarian Cancer Research, 14 Pennsylvania Plaza, Suite 1400, New York, NY 10122.
Fisher Funeral Home of Cochran has charge of arrangements.
