Keeping Your Digital Pictures Safe | Families
Last week I was touching base with a client to see how her summer was going and she had a horror story to tell me. During a quick 20-minute trip to take her daughter to camp, their home was broken into. Among the things the thieves took was their computer. The most precious and heartwrenching loss of all was the loss of their pictures and videos from the last 4-5 months that had not yet been backed up. Those can never be retrieved or recreated.
What can you do to preserve your precious memories, specifically those digital pictures? A couple of quick and easy steps can ease your mind and I advocate multiple backup systems. You can never be too careful with your pictures.
1) Subscribe to a backup program such Carbonite (www.carbonite.com). This program will automatically backup your files to the clouds. If the unthinkable happens (theft, hard drive failure), you can just log into your account and restore your files.
