Sports moms impact Central Georgia | Families
The Sports Mom Impact tour is once again making its presence felt across Central Georgia. Several mothers of professional football and basketball players loaded up the bus and headed out, determined to change lives.
We met with the ladies at the Macon Rescue Mission where they mentored to women talking about several topics including the struggles of surviving domestic abuse, single parenthood and overcoming adversity.
A few of the moms participating today were Tish Heyward, mother of Packers and former Perry Panther Casey Heyward. Also in attendance was Deanna Moore mother of former NFL, now Canadian Football League Standout Kyle Moore of Houston County Bear fame to name just a couple moms that are leading the pack.
But together these women are united on their own team to inspire others to rise above their circumstances and realize their dreams.
This was day one of a 3 day tour in Central Georgia. Thursday, the women will host a book signing at Golden Corral in Centerville starting at 12 p.m. through 1:45 p.m.
Then they will head out to Fort Valley to the Boys and Girls Club between 2 and 3:30 p.m.
Wrapping up the day with the Warner Robins HODAC at 6 p.m.
Saturday, a celebrity midday soiree will take place at the Homer J. Walker Civic Center in Warner Robins from 2-5 to close out the tour.
Rollin' With Royce is providing the transportation for the sports mom around town.
