$500 Reward Offered in Twiggs County Theft Case

The Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of three autos that were taken from the city of Danville. On September 28th between the hours of 11 pm and 8 am three vehicles were stolen from a residence at 26 Stevens Road in Danville GA.  No one was at the residence at the time of the theft and neighbors report hearing a noise coming from the residence around 2 am, but could not give any description or any other information.

The owner stated that all of the vehicles were antiques in mint condition and were covered up in his backyard.  The owner has offered a $500 reward for information leading to the recovery of the vehicles.  The vehicles are described as 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlas silver in color, a 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo black in color, and a 1987 Buick Regal black in color.  Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Investigator Robert Rodgers at 478-945-3357 ext. 163.

Sheriff Darren Mitchum wants citizens to be vigilant and report any and all suspicious activity to the Sheriff’s Office.  The Sheriff stated that Twiggs County does not really have an auto theft problem, but due to the shape of the economy and the holiday season approaching we want to make sure that it doesn’t become a problem.  Make sure your property is secure and don’t advertise your property for criminals.  Make all attempts to conceal or hide valuable items so that thieves want have the advantage.
