We asked what you remember your father saying most often. Here is our collection of fatherly wisdom. Happy Father's Day, Dads! Thank you so much to everyone who shared a Dad-ism. Here they are for your reading pleasure. (These are collected from Where You Live comments and facebook posts on 13WMAZ's Fan page.) I enjoyed everyone's response!

Field Set for Macon House, Senate Races

The fields are now set for two races for the General Assembly on the July 19 ballot.

Qualifying ended today in the state Senate District 26 race and for House District 139.

David Lucas is leaving the House seat to run Robert Brown's old Senate seat. Lucas is a Democrat.

Also running are Republican Bobby Gale of Irwinton, a minister, and Macon City Council President Miriam Paris, also a Democrat.

There's no primary and all three Senate candidates will run in a single field.

The race should be decided next month, unless there's a runoff.

The district covers Twiggs County and parts of Bibb, Houston and Wilkinson counties.

Also, two candidates are running in House District 139.

They are James Beverly, an eye doctor and business owner, and Anissa Jones, a chiropractor and professor of biology.
That race should also be decided next month.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning

Bibb, Houston and Twiggs counties are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 6:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service says Doppler radar showed a storm capable of producing quarter-sized hail and 60 mph winds near Centerville.

A severe-thunderstorm warning means that people should monitor weather conditions and be ready to take cover.

But www.naturefind.com has taken it upon themselves to be searchable so that you can find nature near you, where you can enjoy it. (Driving by a crowd of pine trees on your way to work doesn't count, sorry.)

I searched Jeffersonville, Ga and found the following day-trip type adventures within 40 miles:
